Once you feel comfortable with the content you have created (for longer works, you likely will have had a developmental edit!), the next step is copy editing. I will check your work for grammatical errors, clarity, and fact-check things like dates and places, as well as create your very own style sheet!
I will also help you rework your sentences so everything is clear and flows nicely for the reader.
I will be available to answer any questions about suggestions I made! Wondering if what you wrote sounds better? Just ask!

This is one of your last polishing steps! I will check your work for any remaining grammatical errors, clarity issues, and make sure copy edits were implemented correctly.
If your work has been formatted, I will also check for formatting inconsistencies.

Rates:
I base my rates on the yearly editorial rates posted by the Editorial Freelance Association, my experience, and how long it could potentially take me to complete an edit.
My specialties are poetry, memoir, and fiction (many genres, but especially romance!). I cannot edit horror/gore. If you have that type of content, reach out and I can recommend you to someone else!
